Whitetail deer are the most hunted and most widely available game species in North America.  Mule deer have a wide range as well, and because of this there are probably more deer mounted than any other game species.  Due to the high number of these animals reaching taxidermy shops, there is a wide variety of mannikins to choose from, especially for whitetail deer.  Which is good news if you are are looking for that special pose to compliment your hard earned trophy.
